Please take a look at our testimonials

"I joined this group in 2012. I have made some good friends, and it has been great to talk to people who are experiencing similar symptoms and know first-hand what it is like to have PD. We have a lot of fun in our exercise and singing groups and encourage each other to attend. I have also gained so much information at the Parkinson's Support Group and Women's Support Group meetings."

"The CdA Parkinson's Support Group provides me with great comfort and information. Comfort from other PWPs (People with Parkinson's) who need no explanation for my oddities. Information that our doctors have not provided and ways to improve quality of life are often learned from those living with PD. The friendships that have been formed from this group are invaluable to me."

Women with Parkinson's Support Group

This is a casual get-together to share information and lend emotional support. We usually meet at a restaurant and order lunch or a treat. This is a great group of women. We are currently meeting at MacKenzie River Pizza, 405 West Canfield Avenue, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in their conference room. We have a scholarship fund and our group can buy your lunch if there is a financial need. Just ask Bonnie or Beth when you arrive.

Music and Wellness

This is a great group for increasing the volume of your voice and helping with the clarity of your speech, also. This group is led by Carla Carnegie, MT-BC, NMT, BA, Music & Composition, BA, Music Therapy. She has many hours of working with people with Parkinson's. She is a lot of fun and brings rhythm instruments for all! No singing ability needed. Just come and share some enjoyable time with other people traveling down this path.

Moving to the Music

Yay! We're back! We found a great instructor, Kristi, from the CdA Kroc Center. She has 14 years experience teaching all kinds of dance. Come and join us for some easy dance moves to some really great music. We will adapt the routines to everyone's ability level, even if you are in a wheelchair or use a walker or cane. Exercise and socialization have been proven to slow the progression of Parkinson's.
